I found a photo online of an old cat that had been rescued from the humane society recently. He had such a soulful, regal face and I felt compelled to paint him. I wanted to do more than a traditional portrait. He was just so awesome that I needed to reflect that in my painting.
I still need to add a bit more fur and finish up the fish that he is thinking about, but I'm getting close to being done. What do you think, did I do him justice?
